Today I want to talk about a few skin products that
I use and why I recommend using them. First, I want to say the please remember
that all skin types are different and this is only my own opinion. I’m going to
be recommending some BB creams, toners, moisturizers, and a few lip balms.
Okay let’s start!
I am going to start with a few toners that I recommend
and why. The first toner that I recommend and one that is my favorite toner is:
Burt’s
Bees Garden Tomato Toner
This toner costs about 12$ which is a little pricey
but it is really worth the cost. The bottle lasted me about five months and my
skin really thanked me for using it. The toner has a really nice cooling effect
and it helps to get rid of the dirt/oil that possibly was left behind from
cleaning the face. I tend to get some redness around my nose and cheeks and
when I would use this toner the redness would fade. Overall, this toner really
helps to lighten the skin, tighten pores, and keeps the face feeling really
fresh and cool. Plus the toner is 99.4% natural which is a nice feeling knowing
that you aren’t putting a bunch of junk on your face!
This next toner is:
Crystal
C Mist Toner by Skin79
This toner is 9$ and comes in a little spray bottle
which I found to be really neat to use. So far the bottle has lasted me probably
four months so far but I also don’t use it as much because I like Burt’s Bees
better. However, this toner is still really great and I highly recommend it for
a few reasons. The biggest reason why I recommend this toner is that it
contains vitamin C which helps to brighten the skin and keep it from looking
dull. I also recommend this toner because it comes in a spray bottle which
really feels nice on the skin and it helps to stop the wasting of the product.
You can also apply this on top of makeup if your face needs to feel a little fresher
and it won’t smear or ruin it!
Now I am going to move onto some BB creams that I
recommend! The first BB cream that I recommend is:
Hot
Pink Super Plus Beblesh Balm by
Skin79
This BB cream is 28.00$ and by far the best that I
have used and it is my favorite BB cream as well. This BB cream comes in a
handy pump bottle that is not only cute but also hygienic and it helps to stop
waste of the product. The BB cream applies on smoothly, evenly, and it doesn’t
feel cake like or clog my pores. The BB cream takes away all redness on my face
and helps to make my skin look really bright and flawless. The price is kind of
a lot but it really is worth it plus it lasts for a really long time. It has
lasted me five months now and I still have over half left! I really love this
BB cream and recommend it a lot.
The next BB cream that I recommend is:
Diamond
The Prestige Beblesh Balm by Skin79
This BB cream costs about 20$ and is great for those
who don’t need a lot of coverage. The BB cream has great shine to it for giving
a look of dewy skin without looking oily. However, it doesn’t cover as much as
the BB cream before and it also doesn’t last as long. I would use this BB cream
for when my skin is doing really well and I want give a dewy look. Overall, the
BB cream is worth the price for those who don’t need a lot of coverage. I
wouldn’t recommend this for people who need coverage though.
Let’s move onto moisturizers but first I want to say
that I don’t use typical facial moisturizers. I use drugstore lotions that work
for hands and face because anything else I use either makes my face oily or it
won’t help with dryness.
With that said:
Nivea Soft
This is my favorite moisturizer and I usually can
get a small bottle for about 3$ and it will last me a couple months. This moisturizer
has Vitamin E and Jojoba oil which helps to keep the skin soft, smooth, and not
dry. It also is very lightweight so it absorbs fast and won’t make the skin
oily. For the price and value alone this lotion is worth getting. I love the
fact that it has vitamin E because it is so great at restoring the skin! Overall,
this is my favorite moisturizer for my face and it keeps my skin super soft.
The next moisturizer is:
Clinique
Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
This moisturizer is kind of expensive at $14 for a
small bottle. However, I like to use this when my sky is excessively dry and in
need of major rehydration. I only use this when my skin is really dry because
otherwise it is too rich and will make my skin break out. I would recommend
this to whoever has really dry skin but not to someone with normal or oily.
Overall, it feels really light and hydrating but it is also rather rich. It
works great for dry skin and stops any flaking as well as redness caused by
dryness.
Finally, now I will talk about some lip balms and
glosses.
The first lip balm I recommend is:
Neutrogena
Lip Moisturizer
This lip balm is great for lips that are really
chapped and in need of a light lip balm. The lip balm applies smoothly and
protects for a few hours. It also doesn’t irritate the lips like some other
flavored lip balms can do. This is a really basic lip balm and for the price of
$3 I feel that it is a purse essential.
Another great lip balm is:
Color
Balm- Peachy Keen by Say Yes to Carrots
This lip balm is about $6 and is a tinted lip balm
that applies on smoothly. The color is great for fall and it is perfect for
someone who doesn’t like to wear lip stick. The lip balm is glossier than lip
stick and it doesn’t irritate the lips like a lot of tinted lip balms. The balm
also lasts for a while and it is full of vitamin E, Jojoba Oil, and Sunflower Seed Oil which really helps to repair
chapped lips.
Finally, I recommend tinted lip
butter:
Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter Sugar Frosting
Lip butters are a great way to keep
your lips soft and looking shinny without the need of lip balm and gloss.
Revlon Lip Butter Sugar Frosting is my favorite because the color is very light
and makes the lip shinny without adding too much color. It is perfect for an
everyday look and can even be vamped up for a night out on the town. I can
usually get the lip butter for about $7 and it will last me a few months. I
think this is another purse necessity because it is so versatile and can be
used every day.
Even though this was a really long post, I hope that
there was a lot of good information here. Just remember that every skin type is
different so some of these products may or may not work for you. Until next
time, take care!
